Unkle Bob
Amidst emo, nu-metal and even Franz-style pop you’d barely notice Unkle Bob in a crowd – unassuming both musically and personally. And stylistically – not for them the rush and raucity of punk rock. Instead it’s lazily played Latin beats while Geoff Widdowson’s (erm Rick Webster’s !- ed) vocals owe a little to Sting. Their eclectic take on pop might stem from Gomez, in theory, if only for a refusal to conform to whats hip. Who knows, in a world looking for the next fashion, the outstanding Unkle Bob might well turn out to be the norm.
